On November 24, the Illusion Cinema will host a presentation of the Special View mobile application, which helps the blind user watch movies in the cinema hall or when watching on any home device, including online cinemas and streaming platforms.

The application “Special View” was developed within the framework of the program of the same name to support people with visual impairment of the Charity Foundation “Art, Science and Sport” in order to provide access to films to blind and visually impaired people. The new inclusive IT solution will become a tool for the development of family movie viewing. Now families with a blind person can go to the cinema in full force, for this you just need to install the free mobile application “Special Look” and connect headphones to your smartphone.

“Our application is not just a digital solution for the blind, it is a unique tool to promote the cultural development of people with visual impairment through the availability of films released in Russia,” says Fatima Mukhomedzhan, Director of the Art, Science and Sport Charity Foundation.

The event will be attended by a representative of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, director of the Charity Foundation “Art, Science and Sport” Fatima Mukhomedzhan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the film studio “Soyuzmultfilm” Juliana Slashcheva. During the presentation, the blind expert and developer of IT solutions Pavel Obiukh will show the guests the work of the application in real time about the demonstration of the new cartoon “Chink: the Tailed Detective”, which has just been released, with a typhoon commentary.

The sighted guests of the presentation will have the opportunity to watch the film the way the blind watch. The organizers are confident that such an experience of immersion in the lives of blind people will allow them to react differently to the phrase “Blind people also watch movies.”

The mobile application “Special View” is an open door to the world of accessible cinema for the blind and visually impaired. This is the most important tool for promoting the cultural development of people with visual impairment through the availability of films released in the Russian rental. This is a digital transformation of the development of the film industry and its accessibility for the blind.

The event starts at 14.30. The venue of the event: Kotelnicheskaya embankment 1/15.
