Students from 16 agricultural universities became participants of the first All-Russian student congress “Ideas of youth – for the development of the Foodnet market” in Stavropol. They presented their developments at the Stavropol State Agrarian University, the press service of the university told reporters on Wednesday.
“The participants were more than 150 young scientists-students from 16 agricultural universities of the country. Some of the inventions presented at the exhibition could not only be viewed, but also tasted. <...> Students of Stavropol and Kuban State University offered unusual pastries. Stavropol residents are gluten-free cookies made from amaranth, almond and kipreya root flour, and Kuban residents are made from hemp,” the message says.
Young scientists presented developments in the field of digital and organic agriculture, automation and robotics, biotechnologies, as well as in personalized and special nutrition. In particular, they presented a field robot for express monitoring of soils, a digital water purification station, an aeroponic installation, technologies for industrial cultivation of tulip bulbs, milk purification and other developments.
The initiator of the congress was the Stavropol State Agrarian University. In 2022, the university received grant support for the project “Agroinopolis of Stavropol: youth ideas for the FoodNet market”. It is aimed at involving young people in research and project work.
“Relying on science, together we respond to global challenges, contribute to ensuring Russia’s food security. The future of agriculture, from seed production to agrotechnologies, is in your hands,” the head of Stavropol Vladimir Vladimirova quotes the department of the press service and information policy of the governor and the government of the region.
The Congress is held from November 23 to 25, and a strategic session with presentations of applied scientific projects and programs will be held on its site. The congress should result in the creation of a resource center for student scientific societies of agricultural universities on the basis of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
