On February 15, Member of the Board, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia A.V.Yakovenko received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary in Moscow Norbert Konkoy.
The conversation focused on topical issues related to the security situation. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for the development of bilateral Russian-Hungarian relations.
A.V.Yakovenko informed in detail about the new activities of the Academy, its structure and system of training international specialists, as well as professional development of domestic and foreign diplomats. Various possibilities of cooperation in these areas were analyzed.
The Rector conveyed an invitation to the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs of Hungary O. Pachai-Tomasic, who oversees the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy and the Hungarikum Scholarship program, to visit the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry and sign a cooperation agreement.
A.V. Yakovenko also spoke about the publishing activities of the Academy and its scientific and analytical work. The Rector invited the Hungarian Ambassador to write an article for the electronic magazine DA “Diplomatic Service and Practice”, which was gratefully accepted.
