On February 24, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov received Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of the Kurdish Autonomous Region of the Republic of Iraq Hemin Hawrami.
During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on the Middle East issues of mutual interest, with an emphasis on the current situation in and around Iraq.
They also touched upon some practical issues of further promotion of traditionally friendly Russian-Iraqi relations, including in the context of the development of diverse ties with the Kurdish Autonomous Region of Iraq.
