On February 16, the Russian Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting of the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov with the Minister of Land Infrastructure and Development of Access to the Territories of the Republic of Senegal Amadou Mansour Faye.
During the conversation, topical issues of further building up Russian-Senegalese mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed, with an emphasis on expanding bilateral business contacts, implementing new joint projects in the fuel and energy complex, construction of infrastructure facilities, and knowledge-intensive production.
Taking into account Senegal’s chairmanship in the African Union in 2022, an interested exchange of views was held on the promotion of Russian-African cooperation, including in the context of preparations for the second Russia-Africa summit.
