On February 11, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov had a telephone conversation with the former Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic, leader of the Mustaqbal movement Saad Hariri.
During the conversation, the current political and socio-economic situation in Lebanon was discussed, as well as some topical issues of further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Lebanese relations were touched upon.
In this context, S. Hariri declared his readiness to continue active socio-political activities in the interests of normalizing the situation in Lebanon, and also confirmed his continued interest in strengthening mutually beneficial multifaceted ties with Russia.
