The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has extended the anti-dumping duty on plastic-coated rolled metal products from China until September 15, 2023 inclusive.

The measure is due to expire on January 22, 2023. However, the EEC’s Domestic Market Protection Department received an application for a repeat anti-dumping investigation.

Information presented in the statement allowed to make preliminary conclusions about possible continuation of dumping import of rolled metal with polymer coating from China and causing damage to the sector of economy of the Eurasian Economic Union states. As noted in the trading bloc of the EEC, the results of the application on September 16 this year, began a new anti-dumping investigation.

The EAEU regulatory framework provides for extension of the current anti-dumping measure for the period of the re-investigation, which should be completed within 12 months from the date of its launch.
