The board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has made changes to the procedure for drawing up electronic passports for self-propelled machines and other types of machinery, as well as to the procedure for forming and maintaining a single register of authorized bodies (organizations) and organizations-manufacturers of vehicles, which carry out the execution of electronic passports for self-propelled machines.

For manufacturers of certain types of self-propelled machines which are not subject to regulation of Union technical regulations and are not intended for use on public roads (airfield machinery, self-propelled forestry mulchers, ratrkas and off-road heavy-duty vehicles) it was extended until December 31, 2023 to make out electronic passports for their products in the absence of the mandatory document on conformity assessment.

Amendments were prepared by the Commission on the basis of the proposals of the EEU member states and are aimed at regulating the issues of filling in electronic passports for certain types of self-propelled machines before they are included in the scope of application of the technical regulations “On safety of machines and equipment”.

The decision will come into force 30 calendar days after its official publication.
