On November 29, a meeting was held between Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and Daniyar Turusbekov, Director of the Protocol and Organizational Support Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission, during which the departments’ cooperation program for 2023 was signed.
The parties discussed the strengthening of cooperation between the departments, paid special attention to the official events planned for the next year as part of the Russian Federation’s presidency in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as the promotion and extensive media coverage of the Eurasian economic agenda.
“The establishment of strong, regular interaction between our departments will certainly only strengthen the information coverage of the decisions taken by the EEU bodies and the Eurasian integration processes in general,” Daniyar Turusbekov is convinced.
Maria Zakharova, in her turn, noted that the Department of Information and Press of the Russian Foreign Ministry is ready for close cooperation with the EEC.
The parties also discussed the prospects of holding in 2023 the First Media Forum with the participation of journalists of the Eurasian Economic Union before the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
