Epic Contemporary Art Jewellery

The founder of the brand Zakhar Borisenko started his jewelry business in 2010. A specialist in strategic management, then a teacher of the MBA course at Moscow State University, Borisenko argued with students whether it was possible to do business in the field of art – and quickly proved that it was possible.

Already in 2014, the brand opened a representative office in Hong Kong. Later, representative offices and showrooms were opened in Bangkok, the UAE and Bahrain. The brand’s slogan is “Don’t wear jewelry. Wear art” reflects the essence of EPIC: the creation of jewelry based on the principles of art and collaboration with contemporary artists in working on collections.

Over the years, EPIC has collaborated with multidisciplinary media artist Protey Temen, architect Sergey Pokrovsky (Noor Architects), illustrator Varya Alyai, artists Irina Petrakova, Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov and Jean-Christophe Couet.

In 2017, Annaminakova, an expert in the field of jewelry, a well-known journalist and gemologist, became the creative director and partner of the brand. EPIC is not only a jewelry art laboratory, but also a full—cycle jewelry company with its own ateliers in several countries, including its own cutting production. Apart from the usual gold and platinum, the brand is one of the few in the world that works with such rare materials in jewelry as titanium, bronze, aluminum or carbon.

All the stones in EPIC jewelry are selected by full-time gemologists and certified by the world’s leading laboratories. EPIC Jewellery is the official partner of the Shchusev Museum of Architecture, the first and only jewelry brand awarded a solo exhibition at the museum.
