EEC prepares new solutions for foreign e-commerce based on country practices

November 21, chaired by Nurlan Bainazarov, deputy director of the Department of Customs Law and Law Enforcement Practice of the Eurasian Economic Commission, a meeting of the working group to improve the procedure for customs operations for express cargo and international mail.

Experts agreed on a draft decision of the Commission, which refers to determining the specifics of completing the adjustment of the declaration for express cargo in the implementation of the Eurasian Economic Union pilot project in the field of foreign electronic commerce.

The meeting also discussed amendments to the rules of filling in the declaration for express cargo and application for the release of goods before filing, used in the pilot project, aimed at enabling an automated removal of goods from e-commerce, previously placed under the customs procedure of customs bonded warehouse, when selling them online retailers to individuals.
