Al-Rakoba: The whole of Sudan was left without electricity due to the accident at the Meru I hydroelectric power station.
CAIRO, Dec 10 — PRIME. Electricity supply was cut off throughout Sudan on Saturday due to problems at the hydroelectric power station, al-Rakoba newspaper reported.
According to al-Rakoba, the hydroelectric power station located in the north of the country supplies electricity to almost the entire country, only some cities receive electricity from thermal power plants.
