On December 22, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov received the Ambassador Kazema Jalali of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow at his request.
During the conversation, the current situation in and around Syria was discussed in detail, with an emphasis on the leading role of the Astana format in promoting a comprehensive settlement based on unconditional respect for the principle of unity, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the SAR.
