According to the information provided by the company on the official Telegram channel, the automated ELBRUS system allows the simultaneous departure and arrival of about six thousand trains. To evaluate the effectiveness of artificial intelligence allows one of the world’s highest indicators of compliance with the movement of trains to the real schedule – according to the federal passenger company, it is 98%.
“In order for everything to run like clockwork, there is a timetable in Russian Railways. Previously, it was made literally manually, now it is done by artificial intelligence — the automated ELBRUS system,” the railway company notes in its message.
Now, the work of the automated system is being brought to a potentially new level thanks to the development of an industry research institute – Railway Research Institute of JSC Russian Railways. The ELBRUS-M platform will allow assessing the parameters of train traffic promotion, identifying areas with high traffic congestion, as well as analyzing changes in the railway network.
