Dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the USSR, the project of the State Museum and Exhibition Center “ROSIZO” will show visitors exhibits that represent a work of one of the types of art created in various periods of the Soviet Union.
The Ministry of Culture took part in the organization of the exhibition, as well as a number of Russian museum associations.
“The exhibition is based on two main concepts of Culture House. This is the idea of art synthesis: when exhibition halls, a theater, a cinema, a concert hall, a library-reading room and art workshops are combined in one space. Also, the idea of active participation of every person in the cultural life of the country,” says the website of “Culture House of the USSR”.
The exposition includes 13 thematic sections that represent eight types of Soviet art (architecture, painting, graphics, sculpture, music, theater, cinema, photography). Among the exhibits shown to visitors for the first time does the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History (approx. – provide sketches of the projects of the Lenin Mausoleum). These drawings are notable for the fact that their authors in most cases are ordinary Soviet people – anyone could send their project to the qualifying stage of the competition.
The exhibition will be held in the Manege (Moscow), from February 3 to April 1, 2023.
The material was collected and processed by Sofia Chernopyatova
