Announced On February 8, the shortlist of the main film award of the Spanish-speaking world “Goya 2023” was published on the website of the newspaper La Razón. The award is traditionally presented in 28 nominations: starting from the best film and ending with the best film created in Latin America.
“In one of the best years of Spanish cinema, which is remembered or, at least, was more diverse, sensitive and talented, it seems difficult, or at least more difficult than in previous times, to choose any of the proposals in terms of recognition,” the publication writes about the film event.
The most “nominated” film of this year was “Predators” by Rodrigo Sorogoyen – the tape appeared in seventeen short lists. The films «The Land of Alcarras» and «Cinco lobitos» shared the second place in the number of nominations (approx. – “Five Cubs”) – they can get the “Goya” statuette 11 times.
