New flights have appeared in the draft schedule of Omsk airport for the spring-summer period of 2023. In particular, from March 27 to October 23, the Armenian airline Shirak Avia plans to operate flights to Armenia once a week on Mondays.

Also, from March 26 to October 27, Uzbekistan Airways planes will depart from Omsk Namangan on Fridays, and on Sundays — to Tashkent. It will be possible to get to Osh (from March 27 to October 24) and Dushanbe (from May 2 to October 24) on Tuesdays on board the company “North Wind”. As now, it will be possible to get to the capital of Kazakhstan by Qazaq Air planes every day.

“Direct flights are a necessary step for building new logistics chains and developing industrial cooperation with friendly states. Flights from Omsk will attract more investors and tourists not only from nearby regions, but also from all over Russia. We talked about these and other positive effects of direct flights during the official visits of the Omsk delegation to Armenia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. In the neighboring republics, there is an understanding at the highest level that direct flights are a window of opportunity for the growth of trade turnover,” the Governor of the Omsk region said Alexander Burkov.

He also added that the region has a high transit potential for the development of trade and economic ties with Asian countries. This is evidenced by the increased passenger traffic of the Omsk airport. In 2022, it amounted to 1.6 million passengers. which became a record.
