On February 16, a meeting was held in Moscow Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov with Secretary General of the CIS Sergey Lebedev, Secretary General Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) I.N.Tasmagambetov, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission M.V.Myasnikovich and State Secretary of the Union State D.F.Mezentsev.
During the conversation, the results of the interaction of the states in the mentioned associations in 2022 were summed up and the prospects for establishing closer ties between them in order to further promote mutually beneficial integration were considered. The participants of the event also exchanged views on topical international and regional topics.
At a separate meeting between Sergey Lavrov and the Secretary General of the CSTO I.N.Tasmagambetov, topical aspects of the Organization’s activities were considered, including issues of preparation for the upcoming meetings of the statutory bodies of this structure in 2023 under the chairmanship of Belarus. The Minister expressed the readiness of the Russian side to provide I.N.Tasmagambetov with all possible support in his activities as Secretary General of the CSTO.
