President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online government meeting on the socio-economic development of the country. Deputy Prime Minister Myakhridzhemal Mammadova informed the Head of state about the program of cultural events planned for March this year. This was reported by the publication “Turkmenistan: The Golden Age.”
Mammadova noted that in honor of the International Women’s Day, festive actions and celebrations will be held in the republic from March 1 to March 8. On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, an exhibition and conference will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country from March 17 to 18.
In addition, the international forum “Main directions and potential of tourism development in Turkmenistan” will be held on March 20, and solemn events in honor of the national spring holiday “Novruz” will be held on March 21-22. The official added that various conferences, creative meetings, exhibitions, music, song and sports events will be organized on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli.
Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to intensify work on popularization of national culture and ordered to organize all events at a high level, giving a number of specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.
