This year’s festival in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, lasted from February 25 to March 4. The jury of the 28th event, the press service of the film festival reports, traditionally submitted films by African directors for consideration.

The films of the Panafrican festival participants are divided into eight sections–nominations, among which are “Perspectives”, “Panorama” (approx. – films that do not meet the criteria of FESPACO, but selected by the organizers), “FESPACO Classics”, etc. As a separate category, the works of directors who received the main award of the competition – the Stallion of honour, which is awarded to the best of the feature films and documentaries presented at the event, are highlighted.

The next Panafrican Film and Television Festival will be held as a biennial in 2025.
