The online meeting of the Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar took place yesterday, the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation reports. The dialogue of the two Co-Chairs was a discussion of the results of the work of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation.
“The reports of the working groups clearly demonstrate how extensive the agenda of Russian-Indian relations is. This once again confirms the importance of the intergovernmental commission for the systematic study of the entire range of areas of cooperation,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The Co-Chairs heard reports on the achievements of cooperation between the two countries in the field of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, civil aviation and a number of other areas. In addition, representatives of Moscow and New Delhi agreed to hold a meeting of the commission in India – it is scheduled to be held in full format in April 2023.
