Eldar Alisherov met with Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Orlovsky

Minister for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Eldar Alisherov held a working meeting with Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Orlovsky and representatives of the Belarusian business community in Minsk on April 12.
The parties discussed a number of topical issues that are being considered at the EEC site. Such as customs administration of goods transported within the framework of online commerce, the use of navigation seals, amendments to the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as the issue related to the implementation of a pilot project of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on the use of electronic navigation seals.The issues initiated by the Belarusian side, including topics raised by entrepreneurs, on the transit of excisable goods and the exchange of information between customs authorities within the framework of the customs transit procedure in electronic form were discussed.

Eldar Alisherov noted the concern of the Kyrgyz side regarding the detention of goods “passenger vehicles” in transit to Kyrgyzstan through the territory of Belarus. In turn, Vladimir Orlovsky noted the readiness of the customs services of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan to find mutually acceptable solutions to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

The parties confirmed the need for joint productive work to minimize business costs and establish effective cooperation between the Commission and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
