About the demarche to the Canadian Ambassador in Moscow E. Leclair

On April 18, the head of the Canadian diplomatic mission in Moscow, E. Leclair, was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry for a demarche in connection with unacceptable public comments regarding the verdict of a convicted person for treason and the dissemination of deliberately false information about the Russian army, V. Kara-Murze.

It was emphasized that such actions, accompanied by the frenzied Russophobic campaign launched by the official Ottawa, as well as the announcement of the strategic goal of Canadian foreign policy “regime change in Russia”, constitute direct interference in our internal affairs.

In this context, the Ambassador pointed out the inevitable negative consequences if the current confrontational course of the regime of Prime Minister J.Trudeau for bilateral relations and abusing the diplomatic status of employees of the Canadian Embassy in Moscow.
