Ella Pamfilova visited polling stations for the referendum on the constitution in Tashkent

Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia Ella Pamfilova visited several polling stations in Tashkent on Sunday as an international observer at the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of Uzbekistan

The Chairman of the CEC of Russia assessed the organization of the voting process at polling stations No. 105 and No. 107, located in the buildings of the secondary school and business school, respectively.

“I was impressed by the fusion of new technologies and traditions. On the interactive map, any voter can find out about their polling station. This is similar to our digital services,” Ella Panfilova shared

Pamfilova spoke with the chairmen of election commissions, as well as voters and other observers.

Turnout at the referendum in Uzbekistan at 17:00 (local time)  it amounted to 81.39%, the deputy head of the CEC said. He confirmed violations that do not affect the outcome of the vote at some polling stations, but said that among the reports of violations there is also unreliable information.
