The number of Moldovans who believe that the country is moving in the wrong direction is 53.1%, according to a sociological survey conducted by CBS AXA commissioned by the Institute for European Policy and Reform (IPRE).
The respondents were asked whether they believe that things are going in the right direction in the country. 53.1% of respondents noted that this is not the case, 35.7% were sure of the opposite. Another 11.2% of citizens do not know or could not answer the question.
“”The only time when the proportion of those who believe that the country is moving in the right direction slightly exceeded the number of those who stated that the republic is moving in the wrong direction was registered in Moldova in 2005. Otherwise, the majority has always expressed that the direction is wrong,” said sociologist Vasily Kantarzhi, presenting the results of the survey at a briefing.
The survey involved 1,120 people over the age of 18 in the period from June 13 to 28. The maximum margin of error is 3%.
