On August 28, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission adopted a recommendation on the creation and development of charging and service (technical) infrastructure for electric motor transport in the states of the Eurasian Economic Union.

“The adoption of this recommendation determines further approaches to the joint development of charging infrastructure for electric transport in our countries,” stressed the Minister of Industry and Agro–Industrial Complex of the EEC Artak Kamalyan.

According to Artak Kamalyan, the adopted document invites the states of the Union to focus on building cooperative cooperation in a number of areas included in the relevant list. We are talking about stimulating the creation of charging and service (technical) infrastructure, including on international transport corridors and routes for the free movement of vehicles through the territories of Member States, the organization of production of equipment for charging infrastructure.

The EAEU countries are recommended to develop, together with the Commission, an interactive development map (indicating the locations of facilities) of charging and service (technical) infrastructure for electric motor transport in the territories of the member states with its further placement on the information portal of the Union.

In order to exchange experience between the member States and consider the possibility of creating joint projects in this area, the recommendation includes a link to the catalog of projects for the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles already being implemented or planned to be implemented in the EAEU countries.

“Joining efforts and close cooperation of the member states in this direction will ultimately contribute to the popularization of electric transport, stimulate innovation, and achieve the goals of the climate agenda,” Artak Kamalyan stressed.
