Belarus plans to expand opportunities for online commerce. This was stated to journalists today by the Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Alexey Bogdanov during the international forum “Trade Dialogue”, BelTA correspondent reports.
“Holding the forum, we try to introduce something new every time, to match the trends. We see that e-commerce is actively developing, so we have specially introduced a separate section to discuss issues and problems of e-commerce, marketplaces. Moreover, we have a law on trade at the exit, in a high degree of readiness, where at the legislative level we are expanding opportunities for Internet market participants. The document will include the fundamental principles for online commerce, including marketplaces. After the adoption of the law, MARCH will develop appropriate regulatory legal acts that will describe the working conditions for new organizations that have appeared in recent years, and in general will regulate the digital sphere in more detail,” said Alexey Bogdanov.
The focus is also on the labor market. “We have organized a section on how retailers, online commerce and other market participants work with modern youth who come to trade. She has a different mindset, and it is important to understand how to properly build labor relations,” the minister said.
He also drew attention to the fact that the Trade Dialogue forum is expanding every year. “Today there are not only Belarusian retailers, but also more than 20 foreign ones. Belarusian producers are participating in the negotiations, for whom this is a step to increase export volumes,” Alexey Bogdanov stressed.
The forum brought together managers and managers of large domestic chains, as well as representatives of trade organizations from neighboring countries. Retailers, wholesale buyers, distributors will meet with suppliers of food and non-food products to discuss important consumer trends, pressing problems and opportunities for effective interaction in a turbulent market. For the first time at the “Trade Dialog” – representatives of the largest marketplaces. Official presentations and tastings of new products, individual meetings of retailers with manufacturers, direct negotiations were organized on the sidelines of the forum.
