Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov held a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the UAE Sultan bin Ahmed Al-Jaber as part of a working trip to the United Arab Emirates.
The parties discussed the full range of areas of bilateral cooperation with an emphasis on the development of industrial and technological cooperation.
“We regularly meet and discuss priority issues of cooperation. Expert consultations are held on an ongoing basis to jointly monitor the implementation of the agreements. Thanks to well–coordinated work, it is possible not only to monitor current projects, but also to identify new promising areas,” commented Denis Manturov.
Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation in the field of standardization and certification. In this regard, the parties positively assessed the established cooperation between the Institute of Oil and Gas Technological Initiatives (INTI) and the Emirati company ADNOC in the field of oil and gas equipment. The expediency of using this positive experience in relation to other industries, in particular in the pharmaceutical industry, was noted.
The Deputy Prime Minister – the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia wished his colleague, who is the chairman of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), the success of this large–scale event.
In conclusion, Denis Manturov invited Sultan Al-Jaber to visit the Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg in July 2024, as well as to take part in the meeting of BRICS industry ministers to be held in Nizhny Novgorod next year.
