Irkutsk State University of Railway Transport was visited by a delegation from Beijing Transport University. It was headed by Vice President Jing Tao and President of the Association of Presidents of the Chinese-Russian Transport University Li Xuewei.
During the tour, IrGUPS employees showed their colleagues from China automated workplaces, landfills for practical tasks on locomotives and inventions of university scientists.
At the DIGITAL startup school, the delegation members were shown the developments of IrGUPS students, which are already becoming in demand among transport companies in Russia and regional institutions. As well as students’ projects in the unmanned direction, which will help simplify the inspection of the railway track over long distances.
The representatives of the delegations also appreciated the approach to the educational process of students using the augmented reality application that they use at lectures.
After the tour, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between the two universities on the topics of joint educational programs and student exchange.
