On November 30, 2023, a round table “Computer programs as inventions in the Republic of Tajikistan” was held at the National Patent Information Center of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of the management and staff of the department, an expert of the Eurasian Patent Office of the Eurasian Patent Organization, representatives of ministries and departments, universities and IT companies, as well as young programmers.
The event was opened by the Director of the department with an introductory speech Ismoilzoda Mirzo.
National and foreign experts made detailed reports on the protection of computer programs.
Chief Expert of the Department of Mechanics, Physics and Electrical Engineering of the EAPO Examination Department Valentin Panko made a presentation on the specifics of the examination of inventions implemented using a computer.
As part of the round table, examples of software created by developers from the Republic of Tajikistan were also presented. At the end of the event, industry experts and meeting participants discussed topical issues on this topic.
