On the twenty-eighth session of the Joint Russian-Chinese Border Commission

On December 13-16, the 28th session of the Joint Russian-Chinese Border Commission was held in Beijing.

The complex of current issues related to the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on the regime of the Russian-Chinese State border dated November 9, 2006 is considered.

It was stated that in 2023, the situation at the border remained stable and predictable, without incidents and conflict situations. The competent authorities of the parties maintained close cooperation in the field of law enforcement in the border area and monitoring compliance with the border regime.

The session also discussed issues of the development of checkpoints and transport connectivity, as well as the joint use of transboundary waters.

The event was held in a traditionally friendly and constructive atmosphere typical of Russian-Chinese relations.
