The performance of the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, with the participation of the laureates of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition took place on December 14 at the Palace of International Forums “Uzbekistan”. The concert marked the end of the “Russian Seasons” in the Republic of Uzbekistan. “I would like to emphasize the results of the international project “Russian Seasons”, within the framework of which more than 30 events were held. In particular, in May of this year, master classes were organized in the Tashkent branch of VGIK. In June, the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Uzbekistan hosted a concert program by Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Ildar Abdrazakov. In September, a number of performances of the State Academic Central Puppet Theater named after him were presented at the Tashkent Republican Puppet Theater, at the Turkiston Palace of Arts, as well as in the city of Navoi. Obraztsova. In October of this year, a concert program was held in the city of Samarkand, within the framework of which Hibla Gerzmava, the Chamber Ensemble “Soloists of Moscow” conducted by Yuri Bashmet, the Gnessin Ensemble of Modern Choral Music Altro Coro conducted by Alexander Ryzhinsky and the State Academic Dance Ensemble of Dagestan “Lezginka” performed. In November, the Russian Drama Theater of Uzbekistan in Tashkent showed performances of the Russian State Theater “Satyricon”. The “Russian seasons” in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023 were held for the first time. They opened on the stage of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theater in May with the performance “12” by the Theater and Cinema Center under the direction of Nikita Mikhalkov. Subsequently, 38 events were held in different cities of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Among them is the exhibition of the Russian National Museum of Music “Rachmaninov and Chaliapin.
