On December 16, 2023, at the invitation of the Chinese side, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar paid a working visit to the city of Hefei (Anhui Province). It is one of the most important industrial, innovative, scientific and educational centers in China.
During this visit, Roman Sklyar held talks with Secretary of the Party Committee of Anhui Province Han Jun and Chairman of the People’s Government of Anhui Province Wang Qingxiang, during which the parties discussed topical issues of further deepening trade, economic, investment, industrial, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the regions of Kazakhstan and Anhui Province.
As a result, the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Astana Motors LLP and the Chinese automotive company Chery International Co., Ltd. took place. The document provides for the development of strategic cooperation between the above-mentioned enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China in the field of joint construction of an automobile park in the Industrial zone “Almaty”.
At the end of the visit, the Kazakh delegation visited and got acquainted with the main activities of the production bases of one of the largest Chinese automotive companies “JAC Group” – “JAC Xinggang” and “JAC NIO”, as well as the Economic and Technological Development Zones of Hefei and the Chinese energy company “Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd.”.
