On December 16, 2023, the “International Charity Bazaar 2023” was held in Damascus with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots Abroad of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Syrian Arab Republic took part in the “International Charity Bazaar 2023”, which was held in the Al-Mutanabbi Hall of the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus.
The organizer of this event is the Syrian Diplomatic Club, which includes spouses of heads of diplomatic missions, diplomats, honorary consuls accredited in Syria.
The event was aimed at raising funds to help victims of the earthquake that occurred in the Syrian Arab Republic in February 2023.
The event was attended by 16 countries of diplomatic missions accredited in the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as a number of Syrian charitable organizations.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic Muhammad Ali and his wife Susanna Abaza (Gagulia) received guests of the pavilion of the Republic of Abkhazia headed by Honorary President of the Diplomatic Club Mrs. Shukria Al-Miqdad, wife of the Syrian Foreign Minister and head of the Diplomatic Club Mrs. Aya bin Shaaban, wife of the Ambassador of the Republic of Libya to Syria and other high-ranking the guests of the evening.
