The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the Christopher Ledentsov Prize will take place on January 19. It is awarded for the results of scientific research that has significantly enriched science and made a significant contribution to the development of natural sciences, humanities and technical sciences.
This year, the organizers managed to collect a record number of applications and cover 27 regions of the country. Applications were sent for the competition in the fields of medicine, ecology, timber processing, chemistry, and aviation.
“Today, four organizations are engaged in the development of youth technological entrepreneurship at once: the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Labor and Rosmolodezh. Any young entrepreneur can apply to the chamber for help and support. As for Christopher Ledentsov, all our scientists, entrepreneurs, inventors should be inspired by such an example and, most importantly, know what the state is doing in this area today,” said Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation
“We are sincerely pleased with such record-breaking coverage…It was difficult for us to make a decision and limit ourselves to four laureates, as the applications are very strong,” announced Lyudmila Lindblad, chairman of the organizing committee of the award.
Alexey Paevsky, Special Representative of the Decade of Science and Technology, recalled the tasks set by the President when he announced the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.
“This is to attract young people to science, to make science solve the urgent tasks of the state, and to popularize science. All three tasks are solved , including “The Christopher Ledentsov Award”. The experience of Ledentsov and his Society is a very important experience of self—organization of science and business, their interaction, which is now in great demand,” explained Alexey Paevsky.
The Doctor of Medical Sciences, the first laureate of the award, told about the opportunities that the award opens up to its contestants and laureates Vladimir Lapochkin.
“The information component has certainly become stronger. We were often contacted for comments, an article was recently published in the journal “Medicine”, we participate in exhibitions, and recently received another Sokol award for product quality. The award certainly gave an impetus,” Vladimir Lapochkin stressed.
The results of the award will be announced on January 19 at the award ceremony at the site of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
