On January 5, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleynik met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan Maharram Aliyev, during which the new head of the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission presented copies of credentials.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the state and prospects of development of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations, discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda.
Special attention was paid to organizing upcoming visits at the highest and highest levels, strengthening trade and economic cooperation, and agreeing on a roadmap for the development of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The parties confirmed their commitment to further development of relations in line with the strategic partnership between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
