On January 23, in New York, on the sidelines of the open debate of the UN Security Council on the situation in the Palestinian territories, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a conversation with the Head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs I. Kassis.
The Russian side gave principled assessments of the ongoing steady drift of the Confederation away from the principles of “neutrality” and Bern’s reckless support for the Kiev regime. It is emphasized that such actions, coupled with an unfriendly policy towards Russia, are taken into account when building the Russian line on the Swiss track.
A number of practical issues were considered, taking into account the “watch” of the Confederation as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in 2023-2024.
