The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia held a weekly conference call under the leadership of Deputy Minister Viktor Yatsutsenko, where they discussed the operational situation over the past week.
The department is monitoring the situation associated with the passage of complexes of dangerous and unfavorable weather events in a number of regions. For preventive purposes, traffic restrictions were introduced in 9 regions of the country.
Currently, restrictions remain in the Murmansk and Samara regions, on the Georgian Military Highway.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations paid special attention to the elimination of the consequences of two emergencies and more than 90 incidents.
During the reporting period, fire and rescue units eliminated more than 3.8 thousand man-made fires, in which 554 people were rescued, and over 3.4 thousand people were evacuated. 202 people died in the fires, including 9 children. At the same time, the number of fires decreased by 12%, deaths – by 8%.
Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia responded to more than 1,400 road accidents, in which 249 people were rescued.
Over the past week, 8 accidents have occurred on water bodies, 6 people were rescued, unfortunately, 6 died. There is a steady decrease in the number of accidents and deaths on water bodies.
61 groups with a total number of over 1.2 thousand people are registered on tourist routes.
