On March 4, Mozambique’s largest national newspaper, Notisiash, published excerpts from an interview that the Russian Ambassador to Mozambique, A.V. Surikov, gave to a correspondent of the publication on international information security issues. The focus of the material is on the development of a universal convention on the IIB within the framework of the United Nations. Having outlined Russia’s position in this area, the Ambassador explained the difference between the approaches of Russia and the collective West to the content of the document. The shortcomings and counterproductivity for the future development of the legal framework for regulating ICT, the orientation of a number of countries to the so-called Budapest Convention, reflecting the specifics and block system of Euro-Atlantic relations, different from the interests of the world majority, are emphasized.
