On the margins of the CIS Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs meeting on April 12 in Minsk, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov will take part in the seventh meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia and Central Asian states – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The participants of the meeting will discuss the progress of work on the implementation of agreements reached on the results of the first Russia-Central Asia summit on October 14, 2022 in Astana. It is also expected to exchange views on key international and regional issues. Special attention will be paid to environmental issues and prospects for cooperation in this important area.
