On April 12, Baikonur celebrates the 63rd anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight into space.
Celebrations take place all day in the city. In the morning there will be a solemn rally “Forever in the hearts of Earthlings.” The events were held at the monuments to Gagarin, Korolev, as well as at the Gagarin Launch. We continued the celebration athletics competitions “Gagarin relay”, which were held among schoolchildren.
The evening concert will end the festive day: creative teams of the city and the group “Scooter” will perform on the stage.
Also, on April 12, the Cycling Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan started in Baikonur, which will last until April 16.
