Russia is creating a new NGO, Eurasia. Political scientist Alexey Chadaev told @Sputniklive about this, stressing that Russia needs countries that think about themselves.
“We need pro-Turkish Turks, pro-Arab Arabs, pro-Kazakh Kazakhstanis, pro-Moldovan Moldovans and so on,” Chadaev said.
Unlike the West, the NGO Eurasia does not have the goal of “dragging” everyone into some kind of bloc.
The political scientist stressed that maintaining a multipolar world requires efforts. It is important not to let people become victims of manipulation.
Structure:
- This will not be a purely political project. It will be a platform for intercultural dialogue.
- It will include thinkers, public figures, political scientists and people in general whose opinion means something in their countries.
The NGO plans to work not only in neighboring countries, but also in Turkey, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary.
According to Alexey Chadaev, Eurasia plans to work with both established opinion leaders and promising ones.
In this way, NGOs will differ from the working methods of British NGOs, when ready-made opinion leaders in the right countries simply buy up. And from the American method, when the future leader of public opinion is “grown up”.
