Russia is discussing cooperation with the BRICS countries in the field of creating multi-satellite groupings, said the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov.
“This includes cooperation within the framework of multi-satellite groupings, in particular, remote sensing of the Earth. We have projects under way within the framework of the BRICS in this area, where the experimental sites of the BRICS countries are viewed from space by national space groupings. Information is being exchanged. This includes cooperation in the field of creating modern launch vehicles and engines for them,” he said in a comment to Zvezda TV channel.
Borisov added that Russia’s participation in projects to create nuclear power plants, both for generating electricity and for using them in various kinds of nuclear space tugs, is also being discussed. “The Chinese side also has this interest, and we are currently discussing plans for joint cooperation in this area,” the head of the state corporation stressed.
