A meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS member states is taking place in Bishkek.

The situation in the CIS and the world as a whole remains tense, the United States, Great Britain and their NATO allies are using the entire arsenal of “hybrid” warfare, said Alexander Bortnikov, director of the FSB of Russia.
“Currently, the situation in the Commonwealth and in the world as a whole remains tense. The United States, Britain and their NATO allies, in an effort to maintain global dominance, are using the entire arsenal of “hybrid” warfare against sovereign states that disagree with their policies, including support for openly terrorist regimes,” Bortnikov said at the meeting.
The CIS Anti-Terrorism Center will present a report on the results of the implementation in 2023 of the program of cooperation of the CIS member states on combating terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism for 2023-2025. In addition, meetings of the SORB working bodies in various areas will be held during the event.
At the last meeting of the council, held in Baku in October 2023, the participants made a forecast of changes in the operational situation in the CIS, which was generally confirmed, the FSB director noted. According to Bortnikov, over the past period, the situation inside the CIS and on its external borders has been determined by a number of factors.
