The Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), together with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CAON), will hold the 9th International Conference “Russia and China” in Moscow on May 30 and 31: cooperation in a new era.” This year’s conference is timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. It will traditionally be attended by prominent statesmen, diplomats, leading scientists and representatives of the business circles of the two countries.
Video messages to the conference participants will be sent by the Foreign Ministers of Russia and China, Sergey Lavrov and Wang I. Thematic sessions organized within the framework of the conference will be devoted to Russian–Chinese comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership, as well as international coordination between Moscow and Beijing in the context of cardinal geopolitical transformations and the formation of a multipolar world order. The agenda of the event covers cooperation in the Eurasian space, including the integration of the construction of the Eurasian Economic Union with the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, practical issues of Russian-Chinese relations in the field of economics, transport, logistics, financial and banking spheres, in the agricultural sector, as well as in the mining industry.
