On 10 June, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A. Rudenko met with M. Afkham, Advisor to the Minister and Director General of the Women’s Affairs and Human Rights Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In the course of the conversation the parties touched upon a wide range of topical issues on the international agenda, as well as ways to strengthen co-operation between the two countries on the relevant platforms, including the UN.
Considerable attention was paid to the further development of interaction within the framework of the Group of Friends in defence of the UN Charter.
