On June 19, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov received the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Moscow Abdelhafiz Nofal at his request.
During the conversation, topical issues of further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Palestinian relations were discussed, with an emphasis on the importance of continuing a trust-based political dialogue.
They also exchanged views on the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone against the background of ongoing intense hostilities and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, the Russian side confirmed its readiness to continue to make active political and diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the bloodshed as soon as possible and sending humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population.
