During the conversation, a confidential exchange of views took place on topical Middle East issues in the light of the sharp escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. At the same time, the position of Moscow and Cairo on the inadmissibility of the spread of military confrontation to other countries in the region was confirmed.
They also touched upon some issues of further development of multifaceted Russian-Egyptian cooperation, including maintaining an active political dialogue.
