On July 10, 2024, a round table on “Reforms and exchange of experience in the field of combating corruption in the system of Ministries of Justice of the CIS member states” was held at the CIS headquarters in Minsk.
The event, held in the format of a videoconference, was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and employees of the CIS Executive Committee.
The round table was organized in accordance with the Plan of the main events of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS member States for 2024.
The initiative to discuss the topic of combating corruption in the system of ministries of justice of the CIS member states was taken by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which has been chairing the Council of Ministers of Justice of the CIS member States since January 1, 2024.
During the round table, a thorough exchange of views took place on the prevention of corruption offenses and risks, the procedure for resolving conflicts of interest arising in the performance of official duties, and the organization of anti–corruption work in the ministries of justice of the CIS member states.
The participants of the event emphasized the role and importance of the ongoing work on the prevention of corruption in the ministries of justice, including in the bodies and organizations of the Ministries of Justice of the CIS member states.
