On July 10-11, 2024, the 61st meeting of the Interstate Council “Radio Navigation” was held in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan). The meeting was attended by plenipotentiary members of the Council from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Interstate Council “Radionavigation”, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus in the Council V.A. Tsalko.
The members of the Council welcomed the appointment of the plenipotentiary representative to the Council from the Kyrgyz Republic, Deputy Director General for Radio Engineering Support of Flights of the State Enterprise “Kyrgyzaeronavigation” at the State Agency for Civil Aviation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic B.K. Kemelbekov.
The Director of the Department of Economic Cooperation, M.E. Myskin, made a welcoming speech on behalf of the CIS Executive Committee.
The Council members considered issues related to the implementation of the Interstate Radio Navigation Program of the CIS member States for 2023-2026, approved by the Decision of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS dated October 28, 2022, as well as the development of projects of the Interstate Radio Navigation Program for 2027-2030 and the Main Directions (plan) for the development of radio navigation of the CIS member States until 2030.
The members of the Council approved the decisions taken at the meeting of the national state customers of the program, held on July 10, 2024, to ensure the implementation of the program, to develop a draft new program document for the period up to 2030.
The Council supported the proposal to transfer the powers of the permanent working body of the Council to the federal State budgetary institution “All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Radioelectronics”.
During the meeting, the members of the council discussed the results of consideration by the supreme bodies of the CIS of Information on the implementation in 2019-2023 of the Main Directions (plan) for the development of radio navigation of the CIS member states for 2019-2024
The members of the Council accepted the proposal of the Russian Federation to hold the next 62nd meeting of the Council in November 2024 in
Moscow.
